Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering & Technology (MCET) was established in 1998. It is a private, self financing, ­co-educational institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE ) and is affiliated to the Anna University.

Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering & Technology (MCET) ffers 8 Engineering and 3 Applied Science undergraduate programmes in various disciplines and 5 postgraduate programmes and 2 doctoral programmes. The institute has been awarded with ISO 9001:2000 certificate by TUV Rhineland. Also it is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation ( NBA ).

B.E (Automobile Engineering)

Automobile engineering is the discipline that requires theoretical inputs to go hand in hand with practical exposure, the department strives to provide intensive in-plant training of considerable duration to all the students in major automobile companies.

Duration:- 4 years

Eligibility:-A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

Selection Procedure:-

The selection of candidates will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects in the qualifying examination.
The academic marks in the prescribed subjects will be reduced to 200. (Mathematics 100, Physics + Chemistry =100)which will be considered for Ranking.

B.E (Civil Engineering)

Civil Engineering plays a major role in the management of the environment. The department promotes the quality and value based education by creating awareness in the future trends in environmental restoration and management of the environment.

Duration:- 4 years
