Year of Establishment: 1968
CIPET Chennai has been awarded with ISO 9001: 2000 QMS for its training and technical seervices.
The testing laboratory of the institute has got NABL and BIS accreditation.
The laboratory has been very well utalised by industrial gaints like I.P.C.L., Ford India Ltd, GE Plastics Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd., NOCIL., Enfield India Ltd., etc for Testing of Plastics Raw Materials and Products. The laboratory will soon be approved by Underwriters Laboratories inc. USA.
